Yoga Classes

At my heart, I am a Karma Yogi, the Yoga of Service.

My main joy is to be of service to the world through my healing practice and teaching. I am honored when someone steps on the path with me and gives me the opportunity to guide them.

My main joy is to be of service to the world through my healing practice and teaching. I am honored when someone steps on the path with me and gives me the opportunity to guide them. Currently, I'm focused on teaching Gentle and Restorative style to ease my students into their mornings. I have practiced yoga since 1993 and have embraced various approaches including Iyengar, Vinyasa, Shivananda, Kripalu, Yin, and Restorative. I was first inspired to share my expressive and mindful approach to yoga during a four-month residency at the Kripalu Center in Massachusetts from 2003 to 2004.  In 2006, I completed a 200-hour training with Modern Mystic Yoga Academy, trained in Yin Yoga with Michelle Marks and Joe Barnett, Pelvic Floor Yoga with Leslie Howard, and  Anatomy for Yoga with Paul Grilley and Joe Barnett.  Since then, I have taught at Tucson Yoga. I delight in seeing my students find their own yoga and discover what makes them come alive.

Though sadly, our beloved Tucson Yoga space is closing soon, I will continue to teach my classes online and will keep everybody informed about future developments in our yoga community.

Yoga Class Schedules

  • Experience a quiet, slow-paced practice emphasizing gentle movement and relaxation. Appropriate for new students, people with limited mobility, and anyone seeking a slow and mindful practice.

    Monday

    9:15am - 10:45am

  • Gentle & Restorative - “restores” the body to its parasympathetic nervous system function, which, in turn, helps the body rest, heal, and restore balance. We start with gentle movement to lubricate joints, then allow time for longer asanas (postures or poses) supported by props, and deeper breathing to help elicit the relaxation response.

    Thursday

    9:15am – 10:30am
